Cultivating understanding, safety and agency for those who feel in conflict with their bodies
I deeply understand the challenge of living in this world with a dysregulated, symptom-laden, stress-activated body. There is no area that goes untouched by the impact of a body that's stuck in a survival state.
Regardless of our dreams, motivation or longings, we are bound by the regulation capacity of our nervous systems.
Over time, unchecked stress and unresolved trauma leads to chronic dysregulation of the nervous system. If this is unaddressed, chronic symptoms and conditions often develop. These symptoms don't typically respond well to traditional (or holistic) medical treatments. Diagnosis, testing and treatment can have the unintended effect of increasing fear and the belief that something is indeed wrong. The more we work to "fix" ourselves, the deeper we become mired in the distressing state of unsafety and survival.
Without addressing the mind-body unit together, it is very difficult to find the sustainable healing results we long for. However, addressing the body as the interconnected system it is, has great potential to rebalance and restore proper function of the body and mind!

"in a way I never could..."
"I felt like my healing had plateaued after a year. I had eliminated symptoms only to have new scary sensations arise to fill their place. I knew I was entering a new season where I needed to work through the loneliness of this experience. This group found me at the right time when I was ready to fully embrace it. Though I still experience sensations, which is very normal, I have renewed my belief that I am on the right path. I am leaning into the “gray” and no longer holding onto the idea of black or white beliefs. I can feel old identities that held me back loosening their grip. The sensations don’t last as long as they used to because I approach them with curiosity. And most importantly, I realized how much of my life was ruled by fear of the uncertain. I am working every day to gently embrace that fear and sit with it in a way I never could
before attending this group."

Mind-Body Practitioner
I know what it's like to have your whole life consumed by managing the merry-go-round of current symptoms, supplements, interventions and waning hope. My first autoimmune disease developed when I was 5 years old, and I was thrust into symptomatic chronic illness in my early 20's. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars over 15 years trying every possible diet and protocol to help myself feel better, with minimal success. It wasn't until I recognized my symptoms were coming from mind-body conditions and were not going to change from the outside, that I became my own self-healer, and began to actually heal! Rewiring my brain and nervous system has brought incredible healing to 70+ symptoms I had. I no longer take more than basic vitamins and went from only being able to tolerate 10 foods to tolerating any and everything! What I thought was impossible for me, has become my reality.
I am a Certified Mind-Body Practitioner + Medical Consultant. I pull from 15 years of experience as a RN, Nutritional Therapist and brain-retrainer, to help people rewire out of dysregulation + chronic illness, into joy, connection + whole-body abundance. I find so much meaning as I support people in the vulnerability of chronic illness, rediscovering hope and the journey of recovery.
Together, my partner Luke and I co-founded Flourish Therapy, an in-person and virtual trauma healing and brain retraining practice in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
"a vulnerable and empowering experience"
"I've always known that my physical symptoms were emotional in nature, so it was great to have that solid, scientific validation, AND a road map to systematically addressing what's hidden in the depths. Many exercises were priceless, especially the exercises that brought us out of 'the books', like physically expressing anger. Many, many concepts are also amazing, acting as a torchlight upon neglected issues - one such example is paying attention to our avoidance level on a daily basis. Lauren held space for all of us beautifully, and I really feel privileged to have been part of such a vulnerable and empowering human experience! Thank you!"

What Did the Participants Enjoy?
"I loved being with real humans through a group experience. Support, acceptance and seeing others go through their own stuff was all immensely helpful."
"I so appreciated having a space to share openly and be held. Having people cheer me on for ways that I've grown and healed. Hearing other people's stories and struggles. We're all so connected through our stories."
"I loved feeling less alone, being witnessed and feeling seen, the safe container to just be (talk when you want to talk, listen when you just want to listen), learning from others, being inspired by others and their stories, witnessing the growth in others, new-found hope."
"I was able to identify some buried grief and anger and then release it. My body felt lighter after I did this."
"Hearing other people's daily struggles in expressing their emotions and boundaries made me realize I am not the only one who's having difficulty in this! It also gave me a great accountability to have more awareness of my avoidant/reactive patterns and encouraged me to create actions toward them."

"best group container I've ever experienced"
"This group with Lauren as a facilitator met me exactly where I was and it was one of the best things that could've happened to me. The space was so beautifully held, everything we said was acknowledged by Lauren and others. Through homework and weekly meet-ups, it's honestly the best group container I've ever experienced. It made me take even more responsibility for myself, it brought awareness that it is my decision about how I was going to live my life. I am far more regulated and I can now hold space for myself and others."
